Last week on Monday evening, Michel Piccand, Aurélien Crochet, Jihane Hankache and Katharina M. Fromm from the Chemistry Department of the University of Fribourg welcomed, together with help from Sofia Martin Caba, the Association of Lab Technicians to present them with a chemical show, called “The Alchemist”. (see Photo 1) The week before, on January 10th, the Collège St. Michel came to visit the department of chemistry: in the morning, the Department of Chemistry welcomed the German speaking classes (ca. 140 children) for an information session on chemistry with experiments, the afternoon was reserved for the French speaking classes (250 children) for the same event.
